Busta Rhymes Impressed by Vybz Kartel’s Remix of Cardi B’s WAP

Dancehall artiste Vybz Kartel has remixed American rappers Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s hit single WAP.

The incarcerated singer teased a snippet of the remix, dubbed the WAP freemix, and even got Cardi B begging for the release after Kartel asked, “Drop it? Or Stop it ?” in an Instagram post.

The Bodak Yellow singer almost immediately replied: “OMMMMMGGGGGGGGGGG I WANT TO HEAR IT NOOOOOOOOWWWWW!!!!”

Two hours later and with Cardi B’s approval, Kartel delivered the minute and a half-track that was explicit and raw, very much like the original and very much like his style, which he honed in the 90s and early 2000s. The beat is catchy, and both artistes complement each other well on the banger of a beat.

The WAP freemix, which was put up around midnight Sunday, August 8, has already gotten over 250,000 views.  The response eventually led to it being released on YouTube on Kartel’s official channel.

American rapper Busta Rhymes was impressed with the effort. He commented: “MAAAAAAAAAAAD!!!!!!!!”

Meanwhile, Cardi’s response should not be surprising.  The rapper is a huge Dancehall fan and regularly sings and plays Vybz Kartel songs in her many Live videos with Instagram fans.   Megan is a Dancehall fan, herself.

Fans have been waiting for an official collab between the two singers, but the closest they have gotten was when the rapper tapped into her Trinidadian roots for a remix of Stylo G’s Touch Down, which featured both Kartel and Minaj.

WAP was released on August 6 and is currently the No. 1 song in several countries with over 50 million views.  The hot video for the collaboration left fans stunned with appearances by Kylie Jenner, Normani, Mulatto, Sukihana, and Rubi Rose. The women all taken up their spots in a “wet” pastel-toned mansion.

Dazukunst Release “Halleluyah” With Cedar Case

Not long ago, the world needed a lot of LOVE in times of self-isolation and physical distancing. Love on all channels. Love for lonely souls. For people at higher risk from coronavirus (COVID-19), who could not receive visitors?

For single mums who could not take their children to childcare. For freelancers, artists, restaurant and club owners and many others fearing for their livelihood. For burned-out nurses working in 12-hour shifts. We all are facing so many challenges, fears and issues that the importance of love, care and compassion can all too easily be forgotten.

Francis „Blak – I“and Mattan Original from “Da Zukunst” recognized these issues and spontaneously released their first single “Love Now”. Without much planning or a marketing concept, it was all about instantly reaching as many people as possible and to spread love. Originally, the song “Klickz” was planned as the first single. “Klickz”, featuring singer and actor Michael Davies, is also going to be released later this year.

In the meantime, “Da Zukunst” prioritized other songs – special times call for special measures. And while LOVE is incredibly important during these times, we need more than that. “Faith, Love, Hope” is what the world needs right now.

For this very reason, “Da Zukunst” released their new song “Halleluyah” featuring Nigerian singer Cedar Case. For all believers, for all those who cannot gather to live and celebrate their faith, to praise God. For all those who are not losing faith and hope. For all those who know how important it is – especially during these difficult times – to be grateful to our almighty God…even for the small stuff that we so often take for granted.

The music video by Martin Tröster – created with the loving support of the ever-growing “Da Zukunst” family – highlights that nothing compares to praising the Lord with beautiful gospel music.

Get ready to worship with “Da Zukunst” and Cedar Case.

You Will Love Rapper Mattan’s German Flow in “Forever”

German rap artist Mattan teamed up with Ghanaian singer AJ Musique to write a letter to his unborn child – in the form of the song “Forever” (Grund genug).

The song is full of valuable advice, wishes and promises for the child’s future. Every verse speaks of the great expectations and love for the child and her mum.

Mattan, who has gained fame and name as an artist and executive producer through numerous collaborations with artists from Africa, was joyfully anticipated by his parents. That’s why they chose a name from the Bible – “Mattan”, which means “God’s gift”.

When you listen to “Forever” (Grund genug) you can feel how much Mattan is looking forward to meeting his firstborn child.

One could go so far as to say that this is the most beautiful letter and token of love ever written. The grooving Afro Beat by MaxBeat proves to be a real earworm with the chorus performed by AJ Musique.

The beautiful music video by Yukon Kabir completes the picture and creates a feast for eyes and soul. Song and video will leave no heart untouched.
